There is a possibility of encounters with wildlife, insects (including ticks), snakes (including venomous vipers), and potentially toxic plants that may enter the premises or be present at any time. When you visit „Casuta Calatorului”, you assume all risks associated with these factors.
Our rooms are thoroughly cleaned after each guest’s stay, with fresh towels and bed linens. If you require replacements during your stay, kindly get in touch with us.
To use hot water, please allow the tap to run for a few minutes. Due to the lengthy pipe system, it may take a moment for hot water to reach your room.
If you’re traveling with children, please ensure they are supervised by an adult at all times, maintain good behavior, and respect the privacy and comfort of other guests.
The water at „Casuta Calatorului” is sourced directly from a mountain spring on the property. Regular quality checks are not conducted, so we cannot guarantee its suitability as „drinking water.”
The two outdoor tubs (jacuzzis) are heated using instant GPL. If inclement weather or technical issues prevent their operation, these facilities will be temporarily closed. It’s important to note that during the entire winter season (November 1st – March 1st), they are not in use for water installation safety reasons.
The electricity from the „Casuta Calatorului” location is produced entirely by solar panels and stored in batteries. Therefore, guests take note of the fact that electricity is strictly influenced by weather conditions, and there may be days when the batteries are charged less than on other sunny days. This can affect the functionality of some electrical appliances, or even stop them.
All reservations are subject to availability, and „Casuta Calatorului” reserves the right to refuse any reservation at its discretion, without restrictions or compensation.
REFUND POLICY
Our refund policy depends on the selected package:
- Non-refundable package: Generally, this option offers lower rates and is not eligible for any refunds, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
- Refundable package: Typically priced higher, this package allows for a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 1 day before the scheduled check-in date. No refunds are available if the cancellation occurs on the same day as check-in.
However, „Casuta Calatorului” is open to addressing exceptional circumstances in such cases.
FORCE MAJEURE. LIABILITY
Given our guest house’s location, „Casuta Calatorului” disclaims all liability in the event of objective impossibility to operate the resort or provide essential services due to accidents or force majeure events that could impede our ability to serve our guests. Force majeure events may include extreme weather conditions, floods, civil disturbances, epidemics or pandemics, war, actions by local authorities, or any other factor that hinders or restricts the resort’s operation.
„Casuta Calatorului” will not be held liable for any current, or future damage that are not directly attributable to its own actions.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
Payments not made in advance can be settled at check-in, either in cash or by MasterCard or Visa. In cases where the cardholder’s identity differs from the reservation holder’s information in our system, presentation of the cardholder’s ID is required. Payment by American Express, Diners Club, other card types, checks, or vacation vouchers is not accepted.
Payment for additional lodging services and services provided during your stay can be made at check-out, unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties.
THE GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
The philosophy of „Casuta Calatorului” centers on respecting and cherishing nature. Accordingly, bringing pets onto the premises is strictly prohibited, taking into consideration all the aspects outlined in these conditions.
Smoking is prohibited on „Casuta Calatorului” premises, except in designated smoking areas. Smoking inside buildings or within 10 meters of any structure incurs a fine of 50 EUR.
Discarding cigarettes or trash, outside designated areas results in a similar fine.
Failure to comply with these rules may constitute a legal offense, subject to penalties imposed by competent authorities.
Guests at „Casuta Calatorului” assume all responsibility for potential interactions with wild animals, insects, snakes, or toxic plants that may enter the property.
Guests acknowledge their duty to exercise vigilance and are informed of these specific hazards common to mountainous regions.
„Casuta Calatorului” bears no responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage that guests may experience during their stay. We do not offer storage services for personal belongings.
Guests staying at „Casuta Calatorului” are personally liable for any damages they cause to the premises, employees, staff, or other guests. Compensation for such damages will be required in accordance with applicable laws.
The guests staying at „Casuta Calatorului” have the obligation to pay for all damages to the location caused by them, or by their children. otherwise, „Casuta Calatorului” through its legal representative: Onisor VIctor, will appeal to the competent bodies of the Romanian state for the settlement of the damages.
For the safety of all guests, staff, and the integrity of the resort, individuals who violate the terms of the contract or resort rules, exhibit inappropriate behavior, are intoxicated, act aggressively, disturb other guests, or refuse to comply with rules will have their access to the resort restricted, and they may be asked to leave the premises. In such cases, the contract with „Casuta Calatorului” will be terminated, and a financial penalty of 250 EUR may be imposed.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We reserve the right to modify or update these rules and regulations without prior notice. We encourage you to regularly check our website for any changes, as they become effective one day after being posted on our website.
